Nita Dixit, D.D.S.
Dr. Nita Dixit’s role at SCDG pertains to all aspects of general dentistry,
including tooth-colored inlays, onlays, veneers, implant supported crowns and bridges,
root canal treatment, minor tooth movement, non-metallic partial dentures and suction-lined
full dentures.
She believes in minimal intervention dentistry and treating caries (decay) as a
disease. Most of all she empathizes with her patients about the fact that a visit
to the dentist is hard for a lot of them.
She strives to make their visits as comfortable as possible.
Dr. Dixit received her D.D.S. from the University of Southern California in 1991,
where she was on the Dean's Honor List, a Phi Beta Kappa Scholar, and a spokesperson
for International students.
Dr. Dixit has been practicing dentistry for over 28 years and has
been with SCDG for the past ten; the last four years as a partner. She is a member
of ADA, CDA and the SFV Dental Society. She has been part of the leadership at CDA
for six years and has currently chosen to devote more time to the SFV Dental Society.
She is currently serving on the Board of the Dental Society as the President-Elect. She
also participates in the CDA Donated Dental Services program that helps needy patients
obtain dental care. Her most recent case involved providing a partial denture and
other treatment to a Vietnam Veteran.
Dr.Dixit’s commitment to continuing education has led her to complete the UCLA Esthetic
Dentistry Continuum in 1997-1998 and the Advanced Prosthodontic Residency (full
mouth reconstruction) with Esthetic Professionals in 2005-2006. Her customized treatment
planning with an emphasis on esthetics, coupled with her caring and gentle manner,
has resulted in many word-of-mouth referrals from satisfied patients.
Dr. Dixit’s efficient management of the dedicated SCDG staff members and genuine
commitment towards providing the most appropriate dental care with a focus on the
patients’ best interest, are important components of the balance she believes is
necessary to live a fulfilled life. Her personal philosophy and work ethic is
based on treating individuals with respect and dignity. She has been
married to Dr. Vivek Dixit for24 years and is the proud mother of 2 sons, ages 19 and 20. Her personal interests include a love for the cinema, music, traveling
and architecture.
