Dental Crowns
If you want a smile that is attractive and reflects good health, you may need a
crown to cover a tooth and restore it to its normal shape and size. A crown strengthens
your tooth as well as improves its appearance.
Crowns are often needed to support a tooth with a large filling when the remaining
tooth structure is no longer strong enough. They can be used to attach a bridge,
protect a weak tooth from breaking, restore one that's already broken, or used
to cover a dental implant. In addition to necessary restoration, a crown is also
a good way to cover teeth that are discolored or badly shaped, improving the overall
cosmetics of your smile.
If we recommend a crown, it's probably to correct one of these conditions. Our
primary concern, like yours, is helping you keep your teeth healthy and your smile
bright -- literally, your crowning glory.
