What is Micro-dentistry?

Micro-dentistry is a new way to treat tooth decay. It is a conservative way to remove all of the decay while preserving as much tooth material as possible. How it is done?

Procedure:

Enamel fissure decay is stained with caries detection dye if necessary.
The tooth is isolated using cotton balls or rubber dams.
Decay pits and fissures are accurately removed with Air-abrasion.
A solution is placed on the treated tooth that will prime its surface and make bonding easier.
The cavity is then filled with tooth-colored, non-metallic filling to preserve the tooth’s natural appearance.
A light is used to harden the filling.
The tooth is then polished.
The final step will be to seal the treated tooth, which is now restored with its original look, strength and beauty.
